Weezer Dedicates Chicago Show to Mikey Welsh

CHICAGO - Mikey Welsh, most famously known as the bassist for the rock band Weezer, died unexpectedly Saturday, according to the band. Welsh had planned to catch Weezer’s show at the RIOTfest in Chicago on Sunday (October 9th). The band still performed, dedicating their show to their former bandmate. ”While we wont see him, we know he will be there rocking out with us!” reads the band statement.
